Fifth graders plant forty trees by the river
Sycamores, river birches and silver maples will shade the trail for the next generation of Riverbend students.
Our fifth graders spent a muddy, happy morning planting forty young trees along the river trail, working with volunteers from the county conservation district.
Each student adopted a tree and will measure it every season until they graduate. Ask a fifth grader about their sycamore: they will have a lot to say.
